COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

LATEST MILESTONE
A pre-application enquiry has been submitted to Vale of Whitehorse District Council to seek their view on the regeneration of the brownfield site. This included information relating to ecology, drainage, highways infrastructure and housing mix.
KEY FEATURES
3.65 Acres
Initial discussions have been held with Ashbury Parish Council outlining our plans for the site and seeking preliminary feedback. A more detailed public exhibition of the development will be carried out within the village to seek the views of the wider community before the planning application is submitted.
Planning Application Being Prepared
Idstone Road
Ashbury
Ashbury is a picturesque village located on the edge of the North Wessex Downs National Landscape. With ties to the area dating back as far as the 12th century, Ashbury is full of local character, evidenced by the unique blend of historical properties within the village.
The site is a former industrial estate that was first carved into the hillside circa 70 years ago. Accordingly, it enjoys a sheltered position within the village, nestled behind the existing homes along Idstone Road. The site is capable of delivering approximately 30 residential dwellings, with a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom family homes that responds well to the needs of the area. Located adjacent to the conservation area, we will bring forward a scheme the is sympathetically designed and that can assimilate into the existing settlement without harm to the setting or character of the village. We look forward to bringing a planning application forward for its regeneration for housing in 2025.
